7. September 13, 2016. The first in the region and Poland’s second cross kidney transplant. Procedures were performed in cooperation with the Department of Transplantation and the Department of Urology of the Dr A. Jurasz University Hospital No 1 .
8. 2016 Dr Piotr Jarzemski, MD, takes over as the Chair of the Section of Endourology and ESWL of the Polish Society of Urology in Bydgoszcz. Dr Sławomir Listopadzki, MD, was elected member of the Section’s Management Board, and Dr Piotr Słupski, MD, became the Section’s secretary.
9. 2015  – establishment of the Laparoscopic Research and Training Centre in Bydgoszcz – EMTC European Medical Training Center in cooperation and within the premises of the Św. Łukasz Hospital [St Luke’s Hospital] in Bydgoszcz
10. 2014 – simultaneous removal of a kidney tumour, tumour thrombus reaching the level above the diaphragm and a metastasis to the right lung apex. The surgery was performed in a combined team of an urologist, a vascular surgeon, a cardiac surgeon and a thoracic surgeon.
11. 2014  – simultaneous laparoscopic removal of both kidneys and bladder.
12. 2014 – the world’s first closure of the vesicorectal fistula by the LESS technique.
13. 2013 – the first in the region and Poland’s second laparoscopic kidney retrieval from a living donor performed at the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz.
14. 2012 – the Polish-Russian-Ukrainian Research and Training Conference in Bydgoszcz.
15. 2008 Congress of the North-West Branch of the Polish Society of Urology in Bydgoszcz.
16. 2006 – 6^th international workshops in laparoscopy with the participation of Professor Stefan Loening, Professor Dirk Fahlenkamp, Dr Serdar Doeger of the Department of Urology, Charite Hospital, Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
17. 2005 5^th international workshops in laparoscopy with the participation of Professor Jens Uwe Stoltzenburg of the Department of Urology, University of Leipzig, Germany, and Professor Claude Abbou of the  Department of Urology, Henri Mondor Hospital, Creteil, France
18. 2004 Dr Piotr Jarzemski was elected Chair of the North-West Branch of the Polish Society of Urology in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz. The seat of the Branch was relocated from Gdańsk to Bydgoszcz.
19. 2004 – 4^th international workshops in laparoscopy in Bydgoszcz with the participation of Professor Stefan Loening and Professor Dirk Fahlenkamp, Dr Ingolf Turka of the Department of Urology, Charite Hospital, Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
20. 2003 – live satellite broadcast of laparoscopic radical nephrectomy performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz.
21. 2002  – the “Akcja Prostata” [“Prostate Action”] regional preventive screening programme.
22. 2000  – the first practical course – Laparoscopy in Urology – organised at the Veterinary Institute in Olsztyn by the Team of Urologists of the Dr J. Biziel Hospital in Bydgoszcz along with Bydgoszcz Workshops in Endoscopy.
23. 2000  – establishment of a training centre – Bydgoszcz Workshops in Endoscopy (BWE) –  in Bydgoszcz.
24. 2000 – the first laparoscopic cystectomy and radical cystoprostatectomy in Poland performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz.
25. 1999 – 3^rd workshops in laparoscopy in Bydgoszcz with the live transmission of the surgery performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz by our friends – urologic surgeons Professor Stefan Loening and Professor Dirk Fahlenkamp, Dr Ingolf Turk of the Charite Hospital, Humboldt University in Berlin and Professor Jay Bishoff from Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore, USA.
26. 1999 – the first laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in Poland performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz.
27. 1998 – establishment of the “UROSTO” Association of Patients with Diseases of the Urinary System in Bydgoszcz.
28. 1998 – the first laparoscopic surgical repair of uretereopelvic junction obstruction in Poland performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz.
29. 1997 – 2^nd laparoscopic workshops in Bydgoszcz with the live transmission of the surgery performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz by our friends – urologic surgeons Professor Stefan Loening and Professor Dirk Fahlenkamp of the Charite Hospital, Humboldt University of Berlin.
30. 1997 – “Akcja Prostata” [“Prostate Action”] was awarded by the Minister of Health.
31. 1996 Poland’s first screening programme for prostate conditions in Bydgoszcz was established and called “Akcja Prostate” [“Prostate Action”]
32. 1996 – the first laparoscopic radical nephrectomy in Poland performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz
33. 1996  – the first workshops in laparoscopy in Bydgoszcz with the live transmission of the surgery performed in the Department of Urology in Bydgoszcz by our friends – urologic surgeons Professor Stefan Loening and Professor Dirk Fahlenkamp of the Charite Hospital, Humboldt University in Berlin.
34. 1995 – the first laparoscopic procedure – transperitoneal ureterolithotomy.
35. 1993 – the first radical cystectomy along with creating the intestinal bladder substitute using the Pagano method.
36. 1992 – the first ESWL laboratory in the region is established.
37. 1990 – the region’s first procedures of ureter and kidney stones removal by PCNL and URS.
