On 24–25 September 2026, the Masterclass on Laparoscopy took place in Athens, Greece. The event was organised by the European School of Urology (ESU) and the EAU Section of Endourology, bringing together specialists dedicated to advancing laparoscopic techniques in urology.

The Department of Urology at Dr. Jan Biziel University Hospital No. 2 in Bydgoszcz was actively represented at this international educational event. Dr Marcin Jarzemski took part as a member of the faculty, sharing his expertise and clinical experience in urological laparoscopy. As part of the scientific programme, he delivered lectures and presented a semi-live surgical procedure, offering participants valuable insights into practical aspects of surgical treatment and the technical considerations involved.

Dr Damian Peterson also attended the Masterclass as a participant, taking the opportunity to expand his knowledge, further develop his skills and exchange experience with experts and urologists from other centres.

The Masterclass programme focused on advanced laparoscopic urology, surgical techniques and the practical aspects of minimally invasive surgery. The combination of lectures, surgical demonstrations and clinical discussion provided a valuable setting for professional development and the exchange of expertise.
